In order to achieve its unparalleled image quality, Twixtor synthesizes unique new frames by warping and interpolating frames of the original sequence by employing RE:Vision's proprietary tracking technology that calculates motion for each individual pixel.

Twixtor is often faster, more flexible and more accurate than other retiming solutions. Twixtor can change the duration of a clip with one speed setting, but is also keyframeable for complete control. Twixtor also has quality and tracking settings for cases when the default settings do not provide desired results. On dark or low-contrast footage, Twixtor has an option to automatically enhance the footage for better tracking. Finally, Twixtor provides an option to compensate for motion blur, because it is often desired to add or remove motion blur from the original footage to make it look more like it was shot at a higher or lower frame rate originally.
